What are your program fees?

We have a daily program fee of $18.00. The daily program fee may be subsidized when clients or their caregivers are experiencing financial hardships that would otherwise prevent the client from attending the program. If you have concerns about our program fee, please contact us!

What is your cancellation policy?

We currently have suspended our Cancellation Policy during the pandemic.
Last minute cancellations and "no shows" impacts those who are waiting for our services. Clients who are unable to attend the program when they are scheduled should notify the program before 8:30 am of the scheduled day. Higher cancellation fees are applied when notification is not given (i.e., a no-show fee).

Clients cancelling their scheduled service will pay a cancellation fee of 50% of their program fee. No-show clients will be charged 75% of their program fee.

Cancellation fees are not charged when the program decides to close (e.g., due to bad weather), when the client is hospitalized or in in-patient care, or if the group home/retirement facility is under outbreak protocol. Additionally, 3 consecutive days will be recognized for bereavement if a client has experienced a death of a family member.

How do I get to your program?

Door-to-door transportation services through MobilityPLUS or another community partner are available at the request of a client. Depending on the method of transportation, rides will be routed to pick up clients who live in nearby neighbourhoods.

Clients using transportation services arranged through our program will be charged a nominal transportation fee of $5.00 per ride

Can I take a tour of the facility?

Our program leases space from the Village of Winston Park. . Space can be viewed by appointment only. We are excited to now be operating with our new community parter at the Village of Winston Park. Our program space has a separate entrance off of Westmount Road between the Long Term Care and Retirement residences.

Do you have a waitlist?

Yes, our program currently has a waitlist for most days. The wait time is approximately 3-5 months long, depending on the day of the week that you wish to attend and/or how many days you are requesting.

Wait time is determined by length of stay of current clients who are registered with the program; when a registered client leaves the program for various reasons, a spot is opened up for a new person to attend.

How many clients do you serve each day?

Our program operates Monday to Friday. We are currently lightening restrictions and will soon be operating with up to 25 clients per day. We continue to use medical masks and other personal protective equipment as needed.

How often can I come to the program?

The number of days a week that someone can attend our program is determined on a case-by-case basis with the following considerations: urgency for assistance, care partner respite, risk in the community, days requested, and waiting list times.

Can your program accommodate my dietary or language needs?

We are able to accommodate many dietary needs, including, but not limited to: low sodium, diabetic, celiac/gluten-free, lactose-free, soft, ground, puree, and vegetarian.

We also have access to the multi-cultral society to support with any translation or language barriers.

If you have any other specific needs, please call and ask! We are happy to support you in any way we can.

Is your program fully accessible?

We are a fully accessible program and encourage the use of mobility aids for safe maneuverability around the program, with the exception of scooters due to space limitations. It is helpful to know any mobility needs ahead of time, especially if you are requesting transportation services.
